What you pay, why you pay it, and exactly where your money goes.
What You Pay For
Every Challenge Level has its own monthly subscription, made up of three parts: a Platform Fee, a Commitment Deposit, and the Total Cost.
Platform Fee
Gives you access to Spartan and supports its continued development and operation. This part is never refunded.
Commitment Deposit
Not a fee — it’s your personal commitment to completing the challenge you selected. Refunded to your Wallet if you succeed or if a Spartan Shield protects your month. Forfeited if you fail without an available Shield.
Challenge Level Pricing
The table below applies to every Challenge Level — exactly as documented in the Official Spartan Handbook.

What Happens If You Succeed / If You Fail
If you succeed
- Your Commitment Deposit is fully refunded to your Wallet
- Your Platform Fee already paid for your access that month
- You may become eligible for a Prize Pool
- Your streak and badge progress continue
If you fail
- An available Shield automatically protects your streak, Badge and Challenge Level
- Your Commitment Deposit is refunded to your Wallet, but you won't receive a Prize Pool reward for that month
- Without an available Shield, your Commitment Deposit is forfeited
- Your Platform Fee is not refunded — it already paid for your access
- Without an available Shield, you lose access to all Prize Pools until your streak rebuilds
Where Your Money Goes
Spartan follows a transparent financial model. At the end of every month:

Used to operate and improve Spartan.

Refunded to your Wallet if you succeed or if a Shield protects your month. Forfeited if you fail without one.

Bronze Rewards
Spartan pays every guaranteed Bronze Reward directly.

Prize Pools
30% of Spartan's remaining monthly profit is allocated to the Prize Pools.
Prize Pool Allocation
Thirty percent (30%) of Spartan’s monthly profit is allocated to the monthly Prize Pools, divided as follows:

Within each pool, your share is sized by your Challenge Level’s Contribution Weight — higher Challenge Levels require greater monthly commitment, so they receive a proportionally larger share.

Every eligible participant receives a reward — sized by Contribution Weight, never split equally.

Transparency is one of Spartan’s core principles. You can always see current Prize Pool values, the number of eligible participants, total rewards distributed, and your personal reward history.
Spartan never hides how money moves. Every euro you pay, and every euro you might earn back, is documented before you ever join.
